Precautions during the use of rack lithium batteries:
● Environmental temperature
The ambient temperature has a great impact on the rack mounted UPS battery. If the ambient temperature is too high, the battery will overcharge and produce gas. If the ambient temperature is too low, the battery will be undercharged, which will affect the service life of the battery. Therefore, it is generally required that the ambient temperature be around 25 ℃.
● Discharge depth
The depth of discharge also has a significant impact on the service life of rack mounted UPS power supplies. The deeper the discharge depth of UPS batteries, the fewer their cycles of use. Therefore, deep discharge should be avoided during use.
● Operating environment
The use environment of UPS should be installed in a clean, cool, ventilated and dry place as far as possible, so as to reduce the corrosion of harmful dust on the internal circuit of rack mounted UPS power supply; Also, avoid the influence of sunlight, heaters (such as Space heater used in winter) or other radiant heat sources. UPS should be placed upright and not tilted.
● Charging voltage
Due to the fact that UPS batteries are in a backup mode of operation, the mains power is normally in a charging state and will only discharge when there is a power outage. If the charging voltage is too high, it will cause the battery to overcharge, and vice versa, it will cause the battery to be undercharged.
